How The Hunt Works (full text)
Local Social was created to give locals a way to discover unknown parts of their city in a very fun, social, and immersive way.
Starting your first adventure with Local Social is super easy!
Note: most events are 21+.
First, select which adventure you would like to participate in (link here). You can sign up as an individual and be placed on a team OR you can register your own team. Events are capped at 20 people and last for 1.5 hours (unless otherwise indicated). Events will take you through various local spots and businesses where you must complete a challenge at that location in order to get your next clue. Along the way, there will also be opportunities for you to complete bonus challenges with your team. At the final destination (usually a bar or restaurant near the start), we announce the results and socialize over food and/or drink to recount our adventures and make new friends.
Once you have registered for an event, you will get a confirmation email with all the information you will need for your event including date and time, starting location, what to bring, and anything else worth mentioning. Be sure to share this information with your fellow team members.
The host, aka "gametender", will check you in when it is time to kickoff the event. They will explain how the event works including how to use our game app, go over the rules, and provide you with their contact information in case you need to reach them.
